Verbier is a village in the canton of Valais in south-western Switzerland. It lies on a south-facing terrace at around 1,500 m, looking across to the Grand Combin massif.
Its ski domain rises from the village at 1,500 m to Mont Fort at 3,330 m and forms the western part of the 4 Vallées area, which also includes Nendaz, Veysonnaz, La Tzoumaz and Thyon. Verbier has a strong reputation for off-piste skiing.
